Business First
This is a little post, all business.
This week, two people have told me that they subscribed to my blog but for some reason, my little subscription service didn't let me know. I'm sure it's my fault. But, I don't want you to miss a thing. So, if you have subscribed any time in December, please email me to let me know. Next week, I will have another procedure to block some bad blood vessels the doctors found last time but didn't have time to treat. It will be another long day on the table. Another 1-2 weeks of recovery. We will need help with the kids Jan 4-6 for sure. And probably after school help Jan 7-11. If you can help, please email me. (And thank you!)
Thanks to some extra tests lately, it is completely confirmed that I do not have HHT. That's not really a surprise but I wanted to share it, just to clarify. I also updated my ABOUT page to clarify it there as well. For now, whatever I have is undiagnosed.
Then, HOPE
That's the business part, here's the hope part.
I started reading You Are Free by Rebekah Lyons. And, wouldn't you know it, God spoke to me in the very first pages.
"If you are going to be used by God, He will take you through a multitude of experiences that are not meant for you at all, they are meant to make you useful in His hands."

I needed to be reminded of that. I'm learning so much through my health crisis: how to trust completely, how to find hope in the dark, how to step bravely forward despite the uncertainties. I assumed so much of what God is teaching me is... for me! But you all keep reminding me that God is teaching you too. Through my trial, God is speaking to your hearts as well.
Think about that for a second. That's community! Sharing our trials and our lessons is one way we grow closer together. Listening, serving and learning from others who are in trials is another way we grow closer. It's not always about me. Or you. Let's remember that when we feel like closing ranks and keeping our trials to ourselves. Sure it's vulnerable to let others in. But it's also so beautiful. Open your hearts, share your hurts, and let God use you as a tool to help others.
